A Ruffled Valentine: Won't You Be Mine?

Although I have many more snowmen that I want to create on paper, today's card features my favorite holiday of the year - Valentine's Day!
I love making little gifts of love for my family members and close friends. This card uses some gorgeous ribbon and fun twine from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, along with some other fun things!

My paper is from the Secret Admirer Collection by Kaisercraft. I love the variety of papers in this pack - including some glitzy designs with shimmer and shine (like the green dotted above). It also has punch outs in the back that you can use for embellishment and sentiments. My sentiment today is stamped on one of the designer papers using VersaFine Onyx, and then cut out with Spellbinders' Classic Heart die. I chose some of the other paper designs in the pack for my banners, cut with Spellbinders' Nested Lacey Pennants. A trio of pink rhinestones adds some bling.
Striped ribbon is one of my favorites, and this 1 1/2" Pink Striped just makes me feel good! I ruched it with the help of 1/2" Scor-Tape and Glue Dots, and then added three strands of Apple Green/White Baker's Twine and a button for fun (and added stability!). I like the ruffled look and hope you do too!

Day 12: YOU ARE HERE!

My project today is a trendy little tag - with some long-forgotten "used-to-be-trendy" embellishments - fibers!
I wrapped this sweet gift for my daughter (can't tell you what it is!), and added a fun tag using Lawn  Fawn's Winter Gifts - available at i {heart} papers

I stamped the tag with Memento Tuxedo Black, and then colored in the edge using a Copic RV06 marker. I stamped the snowflake from the set using three colors of ink, and then embossed the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx and Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the coordinating die set, Tag, You're It!

Next up was the little snowman - stamped, embossed, and colored (he has a pink nose!), and then I added my favorite chunky glitter, Sprinkles, for snow along the bottom.
Finally, I pulled out those long-forgotten fibers, and tied two coordinating colors at the top. I know she will love the gift, and I think she will love the tag too!

Thanks for joining us these last twelve days! I have a goody bag of fibers, ribbons, twine, Scor-Tape, all in a cute chevron kraft sack with a tag just like this one for my prize winner!

To be eligible to win, just leave a comment here telling me your favorite winter activity - whether it be baking, sledding, shopping, listening to carols, staying inside by a fire, or wrapping gifts for your kids! I will choose a winner on the 23rd, and post it here on the 24th!

A Quick and Easy Last Minute Gift

I love sparkling juices, ciders and different wines and I think it's fun to try new things. So I like to give my friends that also like to try new "grog" little gifts. Yesterday I made up this quick and easy card and matching bottle tag for a gift set using supplies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
You will love the price on this Webster's Pages 6x6 Collection: It's Christmas. HALF PRICE! I love all of the fun designs in this pack, and I also love that it comes unbound - all loose papers.

I cut my bottle tag 9" x 3" and then scored at 6 inches for the fold.
I cut various triangles to make my trees, and then added some fun red rhinestones and Rouge Sparklets, some gorgeous red velvet ribbon, and a little "JOY" from Just Rite's O Holy Night stamp set - also on sale! I added a little Mint Spica Glitter pen to the words.

Paper Smooches + i {heart} papers = Help for Homeless Pups!

Welcome to an amazing hop -- that will inspire you in your crafting, and hopefully will also inspire you to support a wonderful cause.

My sweet friend Kate (owner of i {heart} papers) suggested an idea to Kim Hughes to create a stamps and dies to support our rescued furry friends. They worked together to create some really fun dog rescue products! A portion of the sales will be donated to Home for Good Dog Rescue.  Kim asked us to share these fun products with you, through our projects.

I love these sets so much! I used both the Paws for a Cause and Lucky Dog sets for my card today, along with Teresa Collins Memories 6x6 DP. I stamped my dog in VersaFine Sepia and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.
Both of my girls (see my sidebar) are rescues, and I am thrilled to have these sets and share this cause with you.

Season's Greetings~!

It's Friday and that means a card from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! Today's card is a CAS design using two Just Rite stamp sets.
The sentiment is from Grand Christmas Sentiments. I stamped the "Seasons Greetings" with VersaColor Olive pigment ink, and then embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. The "snowflake" is actually a stamp from Just Rite's Dainty Doilies. I stamped it with Encore Metallic Gold ink and then embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I added three rows of White Metallic Velvet Ribbon and Pearl Pearls for accents. There are tiny pearls all around the "snowflake." I scored two lines at the top using my Scor-Buddy. The main panel is mounted on Prism's Champagne Metallic Cardstock.

I stamped on Ultrasmooth White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut with out with a Spellbinders die. The sentiment is also stamped in Tuxedo Black. Waking Up to Snow~!

It's a snowy scene outside my windows -- our first "real" snow of this season. Pretty late for Nebraska, considering it's December 8. But I am happy with that. I really need to live in a HOT climate! And although I am a 80-95 degree girl, I do love creating snow cards.

So, out come my favorite snowmen from Lawn Fawn's Making Frosty Friends!

Today's SCS  Featured Stamper Challenge 357 inspired me to make this. Congratulations to Anita! What a FUN gallery to browse! Anita has some mad coloring skills! I finally settled on this fun snowman card.
I kept her theme, layout (but made mine square), and used the same designer paper, but changed images, added a fence and doily, and some bling (Silver Rhinestones). I also changed the background shape from circle to hexagon to match the paper. I used the pointillism technique to shade and color the shadows on the snowmen (Ultra Smooth White CS). I used Zva Dimensionals and 1/4" Scor-Tape to hold everything together.

I LOVE this stamp set and the matching dies. It is so much fun to decide what elements to use (hats, gloves, scarves, arms, smiles, muffs, buttons, etc.)! Linked supplies are available at i {heart} papers!

My Christmas song of the day:

Stamps: Making Frosty Friends (Lawn Fawn) - available at i {heart} papers
Paper: Ultra Smooth White CS (Crafter's Companion), Winter Fun (Carta Bella) Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Copic markers
Accessories: Mambi Chips Glitter Snowflake (Me & My Big Ideas), Making Frosty Friends dies (Lawn Fawn), Silver Rhinestones (Kaiser), fence die (Cottage Cutz), snowflake and hexagon dies (SB), doily (Wiltom)
Techniques: pointillism

Merry and Bright

Oh Brrrr! It is -2 outside, and feels like -14. I am so glad I am inside my warm house!

Friday always warms me up with a card or project from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! Today's card uses some fun Webster's Pages designer paper called It's Christmas. I really LOVE the papers in this collection and it's on sale for just $5.00!
The paper assortment comes in a sheaf, rather than a pad, and that is nice, because sometimes I am not the best at tearing out carefully ha! There are some fun printed "tags" or sentiment pieces that come with it, and I cut out one of those for my tag. So no stamping, just a lot of beautiful patterns to choose from!

The middle panel is embellished with fun Satin Snowflake trim from May Arts. I added a 1/2" Silver Jingle Bell to the beautiful 1/8" Velvet ribbon after I punched a hole in the top. A few Silver Rhinestones, and all done! My layout is Deconstructed Sketch #129.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

It's Thursday and that means a new sketch
Here is this week's sketch #129!

and Cosmos Icons dies ~ available at i {heart} papers!
My clouds are cut from Ultrasmooth White cardstock. I stamped the moon using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment is also stamped in Tuxedo Black, right on the RSVP designer paper. I added a few little Rhinestones for cloud sparkle. Zva Dimensionals and 1/4" Scor-Tape hold everything together.

Pointing to Love

The first of the month always brings some really fun new stamp designs from The {Stamps} of Life with Stephanie Barnard. I love this month's sampler2love set!

Here is another one of the creations I made using the newly released sampler2love set and the matching dies. How can you get the stamps and dies at a GREAT price and before anyone else? Become a Club Member. Read all about it HERE.

I used the cute Adorbs designer paper from My Mind's Eye, along with a cork arrow, corrugated heart, and a doily.

The banners on the doily are cut from the sampler2love dies. I used Stephanie's Premium Licorice dye ink for the sentiment. Fast and cute! Here is the entire set:

Quick and Easy Tags

I love quick and easy. And when it packs a punch with it, all the better! Today I am sharing some tags I made using some of Doodlebug's Washi Tape and a new Paper Smooches stamp set called Group Hugs.
The tags are store bought shipping tags. I stamped the "wish big" sentiment using Love Letter ink and then alternated washi tape patterns at an angle. You can see all the in-stock Washi Tape patterns at i {heart} papers HERE. I added a few rhinestones along the bottom of the small tag and just a trio for the large. The chipboard snowflakes were stamped with Unicorn ink, then VersaMark, and then embossed with a mixture of Waterscape glitter and Clear embossing powder. I added some Natural String twine and holiday ribbon from my stash. The "To" and "From" are stamped on the back using Lawn Fawn's Winter Gifts stamp set. I used 1/4" Scor-Tape to hold everything together. It probably took me longer to type this than it did to make both tags!

Linked supplies are available at i {heart} papers!
