Hug the Dog!

Happy Spring!!
I am so excited for the warmer temperatures coming up! I know a lot of you had spring snow, but it's warm and sunny here. Sunshine always puts me in the mood to create, and today I made a quick and easy card using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' Puppy Love - one of the March releases. I love the sentiments and puppies in this set.
I used the paw print and sentiment from the stamp set, stamped in Palette Noir ink. The little silhouette dog on the card is actually printed on the designer paper (Happy Tails by Bo Bunny), but I could have just as easily stamped one of the ADORABLE dogs in the set. The black background is embossed with large dots (Bazzill).
I know this set is one I will use a lot! Check out the Kitty Love set too!

March Release Day at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Hello, sweet friends!  Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps March 2015 Release Day Blog Hop and Challenge!  The days are getting longer, the weather is changing, and Spring is on the way! Who doesn't love watching for the first signs of spring after a cold and snowy winter?  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will help set the stage for Spring with three new Mini Flower Block stamp sets ...AND for you animal lovers out there…two new stamp sets featuring our favorite canines and felines!

I am highlighting the two animal sets today: Puppy Love and Kitty Love. If you missed my post from earlier this week, scroll down one post to see another example using Puppy Love.

First up is a sweet sympathy card. I lost a pet this past summer, and I truly appreciated the sweet cards and notes I got from friends about my dear Lucy (my ten year old lab). To make even more of your stamps, this could be used for other sympathy needs as well.

I stamped my sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black. Stitching, pearls, ribbon, and roses, help make for an elegant sympathy card for a pet or a loved one. I hand cut the banner for the sentiment. Both this and the next card use Memory Box Brandywine designer paper.

Next up is a Side Step Card design using Kitty Love.

A Sneak Peek!

Today I have a fun sneak peek of one of the sets that becomes available this Friday from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps (check out the Facebook party Thursday night too!). I am using Puppy Love and an acrylic block background that is easy to do. You can get all sorts of awesome results with some ink and a block!

1. Gather your materials. I used Puppy Love, glossy white paper, a water mister, a long block, and three Memento Watercolor markers. You can use stamp pads instead of markers, but make sure it's dye ink so that it dries quickly.
2. I colored directly on my block with the markers.
3. Spritz with water. I have a paper towel on top of my craft sheet.
4. Press into your paper and let dry. I used my heat gun to speed the drying process.

I trimmed my card and used it as a grassy knoll for my dog to sit on!
The clouds were sponged with a dauber and a handcut cloud stencil. I stamped my dog twice, once directly on the glossy paper and then another time to cut out and pop up. This silhouette reminds me so much of my labs! I added a chipboard arrow for embellishment.

You will love this set with all its adorable doggy sentiments and different dog silhouettes! Perfect for all the pooch lovers out there! Thanks for stopping by today!
